The Light Up Your Life run takes place at East Coast Park. The categories include one for individuals, one for groups of four and another for owners and their pets. Individuals and groups choose from 5-10km runs, while pets and owners run 2km. 10% of the proceeds go to SOSD (Save Our Street Dogs). Registration is closed but donations are accepted. 5:00pm

The inaugural M.A.D Race is held at Siloso Beach this year and aims to remove the stigma around depression. It costs $49.90 for the 5km run, or pay $29.90 for a 2km walk. 8:00am

Experience the nature trails of Sungei Tengeh at the CCK Big Farm Walk Run. Prices start at $3 for Passion Card members for the 3km walk and $10 for the 5km run. 7:00am

The Commando Challenge's obstacle courses are based on elite military tests. This may include wading through mud and getting dunked in a sea of bubbles. The extreme commando event requires participants to run with a rucksack. Prices start at $85 for the 5km run and $99 for the 10km run. The earliest wave starts at 11:00am, and extreme commandos start at 9:00am.

Long distance runners may want to test their mettle over 18 and 32km at the Newton Challenge at Big Splash, East Coast Park. Prices start at $48 for the 18km run and $58 for the 32km run. 5:00am

Sat, Oct 24

The 5km New Balance Run features music acts like Attagirl, the Obedient Wives Club and Charlie Lim cheering you on with their music. It costs $40 per person and $152 for teams. 5:00pm

The Bedok Resevoir Ultra Marathon is for masochists. Feel the burn and complete 51.6km. Registration is now closed, but go and cheer for those participating and get inspired for your next one. 7:00am

Sat, Nov 7

The Urgent Run celebrates World Toilet Day, with all proceeds going to support the World Toilet Organization's cause for sanitary toilets worldwide. There is a fancy dress option to complete this 5km run. Registration starts at $25. 8:00am

Dress up as The Avengers with your colleagues and participate in the 5km CSC Run. Hardcore athletes can go for 10 or 21km races. Prices start at $20 for the 5km fun run. 5:00am
