Thai chocolate is about to get much better with this new project aimed at local farmers.
Thai chocolate brand Kad Kokoa has teamed up with the School of Agricultural Resources and the Faculty of Law, both of Chulalongkorn University, to form The Innovation Center of Research and Development of Sustainable Thai Cacao (ISTC).

ISTC aims to bring more in-depth knowledge about cacao through developing quality local cacao and related products in a sustainable, traceable, and quality-focused approach for the local and international markets.

On top of that, local farmers and cacao producers across Thailand can also use ISTC as a resource center and knowledge base for farming and producing better quality cacao.

ISTC has also partnered with the Fine Cacao and Chocolate Institute (FCCI), a non-profit organization aimed at identifying, developing, and promoting fine cacao, with work that focuses around the needs of the producers and workers.

ISTC will be open to the public for subscription with activities for its members including networking events to bring farmers and producers together.
