If you've always wanted to spend a nice quiet weekend surrounded by natural landscapes on a private island, well, you can next year. Bawah Private Island, just two hours away from Singapore, is a set of five islands among three clear lagoons in the untouched Anambas archipelago in Indonesia that will be open for booking next summer.

This humble island is nestled among 300 acres of natural landscape and features a total of 13 beaches with crystal clear waters and a bed of coral reefs all around the island. It houses 35 eco-friendly villas that will provide heart-stopping views of the sea and the sunsets. You don't have to worry about crowds because the island only allows a maximum of 70 people at any one time.

Each villa has a bedroom, bathroom, a cozy living room, and scenic views of the lagoon. The villas have an indigenous wooden finish, and the tented areas and public villas are made using sustainable materials like bamboo and recycled teak, all amidst a lush greenery of forests and tree plantations.

One of the highlights at the Bawah Private island is its treetop club house, which comes with a viewing balcony, a yoga pvailion, a beach-facing infinity pool and a spa that uses local techniques for a wonderful, relaxing visit. For those who are a little more adventurous and want to explore the island, Bawah offers some great experiences that include snorkeling in the pristine waters of the island and hiking through the forest with trees that are 80 meters tall (none of which have been chopped down or burnt).

Getting there is quite easy. You can take a ferry from Singapore to Batam, followed by a private seaplane that will take you to the private island. Prices to book the villas on Bawah aren't out yet, so stay tuned and check out their website or Facebook page for updates. In the meantime, check out what you can expect while you're there:
