Singapore's international visitor arrivals and hotel revunues showed a healthy growth in February. The Singapore Tourism Board reported a 15.4 percent international visitor arrivals (IVA) year-on-year growth, reaching almost a million visitors in February alone -the highest ever recorded IVA for the month of February. Indonesia topped the list of visitors followed closely by China, Malaysia and Japan. Singapore's gazetted hotel room revenue was estimated at $159 million, representing an increase of 19.1 percent compared to a year ago. The tourism growth in Singapore is largely attributed to positive economic sentiment, and the opening of two IRs in 2010, resulting in higher per capita spending and strong international visitor arrivals.
