Singapore’s Grand Prix season brings big-name concerts
Including Muse, Gwen Stefani, Red Hot Chili Peppers and more.
Formula 1 first hit Marina Bay in 2008, and it’s grown to a cultural phenomenon since. The actual race is Sep 20-22 but the festivities start Sep 13, and include DJs and pop-ups, fashion shows, precinct (neighborhood) parties, celebrity watching, after-parties, three-wheeled sidecar city tours and racing simulations. Red Bull’s Pitstop Challenge even lets you perform a timed tire change on a real F1 chassis, with real pit tools.
This year’s concert line-up includes Swedish House Mafia (Sep 20); Muse, Gwen Stefani, Fatboy Slim (Sep 21); Red Hot Chili Peppers and Hans Zimmer (Sep 22). Tickets vary by event, starting at $98/B3,000 for a one-day Walkabout ticket (singaporegp.sg/en).
