This Penang hotel just got an airy new facelift
And it comes at a hefty price tag of MYR32 million ($1.2 million).
The Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa in Penang just completed a major facelift—it took a total of eight months and involved some MYR32million ($1.2 million). Set along Penang’s popular Batu Ferringhi Beach, all of the hotel’s 189 rooms in the Garden Wing were given a complete overhaul and now features a tropical design to go with the hotel’s location.
Owned by upmarket hotel chain Shangri-La, the new rooms are spacious and airy, with earthy tones and a citrus color palette. They’ve also ditched the carpets in favor of tiles in neutral tones. All rooms also come with a balcony with some offering views of the gorgeous Andaman Sea and a two-seater sofa that can be converted into a sofa bed.
Room rates start from MYR710 ($265) a night. If you stay for a minimum of three nights, you get 50% off the third night. You will have to become a Golden Circle member, though, so head here to join. Valid for stays from now till Mar 31, go here to book.
