Socially-driven hotel booking website launched on July 24 offers deals through Facebook sharing.

Launched on July 24, backick.com, the world’s first socially driven hotel booking website allows you to use your network to get deals at the company’s more than 100,000 hotels worldwide.

It’s simple: Log into backick.com with your Facebook account. Then, start sharing five percent discount coupons (the first one’s a welcome gift). Alternatively, book a stay on the site and a voucher will automatically be shared with your connections on Facebook. When your friends use it to make reservations, you will be rewarded with another coupon, plus cash rewards (aka "backicks") valued at five per cent of the total cost of their room rate.

The rates look pretty good too. A deluxe room stay at the Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur International Airport goes for S$139 on backick.com, compared with $227 on Agoda. A double room at the Tokyo Garden Palace goes for S$83 on backick.com compared with S$182 on Agoda.
