COSI Krabi launches right by Ao Nang beach

2020 has turned out to be one of the most frustrating years in recent memory. While Bangkok was comparatively spared from the chaos (can you imagine living in NYC right now?) we’ve all been cooped up in our apartments for a bit too long, and we are certainly not traveling as much as we would like. Here is why you should travel right now though: no tourists. Places that might have been overrun by backpackers have largely returned to the peaceful states they were before the tourist boom.

If you are on the younger side of things, and like a bit of an energetic atmosphere to your accommodations (no grimy hostels, please), a new design hotel in Krabi has your name written on it. COSI Krabi Ao Nang Beach is part of the Centara family of hotel brands (this is actually the brand’s third location after Koh Samui and Pattaya) but targets a younger audience with colors that pop like a Gucci shirt, sleek designs (it’s a design hotel after all), tons of tech compatibility, and even a social co-working space called The Hub inside the property. The hotel is also walking distance to Ao Nang Beach and all the most happening nightlife in the area.

The rooms are pretty standardized in terms of features and amenities. They all have free Wi-Fi, Smart TVs, bedside USB ports, in-room safes, and retro fridges. There are two room sizes, COSI Standard (18-22sqm) and COSI Plus (36sqm), which comes with a bunkbed and a king-sized bed in the same room. To get some eats, there is Café 247 (open 24-hours as you might guess) where you can get light bites, Thai food, salads, snacks, coffee, and craft beers. There is also a fitness area that’s open all night too, in case you want to crack the weights after boozing all night.

Rates start from B720 per night for CentaraThe1 members (you can sign up for that for free) and includes B100 worth of food and drink credits per person/per day. There is also an ongoing “Even Stronger Together” campaign by Centara that nets you a B700 discount gift voucher at Central Department store with every booking.
