Local boutique budget hotel chain B2 just introduced its latest property in the Jomtien area of Pattaya, B2 The View Pattaya (Na Jomtien Soi 14, Jomtien Beach, Chonburi, 038-255-959, www.b2hotel.com). The rustic, raw-cement architecture is complemented by bleached-wood furnishings and a panoramic sea view. The 65 rooms are compact but come with all the basic facilities you need for a comfy stay and include free Wi-Fi. Rates are really friendly, too, starting from B850/night for a superior garden view room rising to B1,400 for a luxury sea view room. (The B950 superior sea view room also looks nice). The hotel is not beachfront but the sea is only 100 meters away—not bad at all for this price tag.
