A new hotel in Bangkok for $100
It's sleek, it's in cool Silom and there's an infinity pool on the roof.
Upmarket local hotel brand Amara recently opened a stylish new hotel in the heart of Bangkok. And it’s located just off bustling Silom Road in Surawong, both packed with night markets, street food stalls and lots of nightlife (some of it sleazy, admittedly).
The chic 250-room Amara Bangkok takes design cues from contemporary Thai culture with the walls of its guestrooms decorated with artwork by Thai artists and the hotel features a unique timber fin exterior. On the food front, there’s laidback restaurant Element that comes with an alfresco dining area and pushes out authentic Singaporean, Thai and Chinese dishes. Plus, there’s also a 24-hour mini bar boutique that sells nibbles at convenience stores rate rather than at hotel prices. You’ll also find a rooftop infinity pool and a 24-hour sky gym.
The introductory rate starts at THB2,558 ($103) and is valid for stays from now till May 31, 2015. To book, head to their website.
