That's not the only good news from the low-cost contender.

Thai Lion Air (lionairthai.com) is proving a fierce contender in the low-cost airline game.

They recently launched a new route from Bangkok to Yangon starting from as low as B1,865 for a round-trip. Travelers also get a whopping 30kg baggage allowance for international flights between Bangkok and Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Yangon.

There's good news if you’re traveling domestically, too: up until Sep 30 you can get tickets to Hat Yai, Krabi, Surat Thani, Phuket and Nakhon Si Thammarat starting from B625 per flight.

Also check out the Lion Holiday packages at goo.gl/u7hn0k for three-day-two-night stays with tickets starting as low as B4,200.
