Enter Tomorrowland. The electronic music festival long rumored to come to Thailand finally is, just not how anyone expected. On Jul 25-26, the event goes online with Tomorrowland Around the World, a virtual version of the annual bash held in Belgium, featuring over 60 top performers as well as 3D experiences, gaming activations and special effects.
Just like the real thing, the digital event offers multiple stages in front of which you can park yourself. Eight in this case, including three that have been specially created by the festival’s team of 3D artists. On these virtual stages, you can expect to find a who’s who of artists spanning genres from trance to dubstep to house and beyond: Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens, Armin van Buuren, Charlotte de Witte, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix, Paul Steve Aoki, Tale of Us, Tiesto and more.
Apart from the performances, you can join a bunch of interactive experiences, including webinars, games and workshops related to food, fashion and more. These are taking part in a “time-zone-friendly” format, so that even those of us in Thailand can take part in them. The whole festival is open to all ages, too.
One-day tickets cost EUR12.50 (B435) and weekend passes are EUR20 (B695; includes a week of on-demand video content). “People of Tomorrow” and home party packages are also available.
