Following a massive request from fans, Bangkok concert organizer Viji Corp is bringing British indie pop star Rex Orange County to Lad Phrao's Moonstar Studio 8 on May 14.

Better known as his stage name Rex Orange County, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Alexander O’Connor launched his music career when he was only 18 with his self-released debut bcos u will never b free on Soundcloud. His second album, Apricot Princess, released in 2017, solidified his status as an indie wunderkind, leading to a breakout collaboration with Tyler, The Creator on the American rapper’s album Flower Boy.

Rex Orange County’s easy-listening and effervescent sound often conceals lyrics that express emotional confusion and questions about life, relationships, achievement and fame—a theme that O’Connor carried over into his major label debut, Pony. Released in October 2019, that album climbed to the top five in global charts, thanks to hit tracks like “10/10” and “Pluto Projector.”

The Bangkok show is part of the 21-year-old’s first-ever tour of Asia, which sees him visit Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines and Japan.
