Expect lots of festive activities and Instagram-worthy installations, to name a few.

The festive season has officially arrived in Bangkok. As is the norm, most, if not all, shopping malls have already begun to go all out with their extravagant decorations. This year, Central Embassy has been transformed into a dazzling winter wonderland, bringing together tons of fun-filled festive activities and Instagram-worthy installations, as well as delightful cafes offering sweet treats, from now-Jan 10.

Highlights from the “Let’s Celebrate 2021: The Magical Land For All” extravaganza include the 14-meter-tall “Rotating Candy Xmas Tree” towering majestically in the front of the mall, where Santa’s family welcomes you for some merry snapshots at “Santa’s Illuminated Candy Cane Village.” There’s also a 200-sq-meter ice rink, curiously dubbed “Enchanting Winter Skate Park With Polar Bear Snow Cannon,” on the ground floor, where you can skate surrounded by faux icebergs and snow (B100; B50 for socks) before treating yourself to festive drinks and snacks at the pop-up Brix Dessert Bar. Feeling Elfish? Check out the illuminated candy cane hallway that links the BTS Phloen Chit sky bridge to the mall.

In addition to these photo spots, you can visit the fifth floor of the mall to enjoy free gift wrapping, featuring stylish wrapping papers designed especially for the occasion. Meanwhile, Siwilai City Club will also be hosting a Christmas dinner on Dec 24-25, as well as a countdown party on Dec 31 from 6pm featuring DJs and a special concert from Stamp Apiwat.

Central Embassy, 1031 Phloen Chit Rd., 02-119-7777. Open daily 10am-10pm. For more information, visit Central Embassy's official Facebook page.
