With the temperature rising and the longest Songkran festival ever approaching, it's time to organize—especially for those of us staying in the city. There is no escape from Songkran over the next 21 days, so get ready with your super-soakers and powder. Wash away your sins and party, Bangkok, and stay tuned to this space for more updates. 
 
 

Lights Out Songkran Bash - April 11

For their Songkran shindig this year, Iron Balls is bringing in the talents of DJ Kid Massive, Mikey Mike, and Sam Linden for a one-night-only event kicking off at 9pm on Thursday night and going until 2am. Expect things to get loud. 

 

Songkran BBQ - April 11

Wasting no time Vivin is getting Songkran kicked off early with a Thursday barbecue. Water guns and furry friends are welcome to this one-night barbecue event at the Asoke location starting at 5pm and going late. Book via Line @VIVINgrocery.

 

Viva Songkran - April 13

It’s down to the river this weekend at Viva Aviv for house and techno—with special musical guests Pig and Dan alongside K-MRK, Jamie James, Tip Tap, Carl Nunn, Natsha, Jade, and Drexel. It’s a one-night-only party. Book here

 

Carmina Songkran Special - April 13-16

Give Songkran a Latin feel with Carmina at Mille Malle on Sukhumvit Soi 20, where they’re putting on a feast of Peruvian rotisserie chicken, ceviche, tostadas, patatas bravas, and more for B1,975. Book a space here

 

Songkran by the Pool at Hotel Indigo - April 15

Hit up the Hotel Indigo’s infinity pool on the 24th floor. There are a lot of pool parties going on this weekend and this one is pretty reasonably priced at just B400. Found on Wireless Road in Ploenchit, you can expect food stations, DJs, and drinks. 

 

Arcadia Sunday Songkran Spectacular - April 14

Arcadia has been the spot in Phra Khanong for cool events all year, and for their Songkran you can take a break from the pool parties and overpriced meals to chill with a kratom soda and craft beer. And, at 8pm, they’ll be putting on the original 1989 Patrick Swayze hit Road House just to round out the evening. 

 

Levels Songkran Serenity 2024 - April 12-15

All the club kids know Levels. For Songkran, this wild spot will be putting on four days—yes, four days—of DJs and dancers. Every night, the party kicks off at 10pm and goes until late. Book at 82-308-3246. 

 

Songkran Foam Party at Finch - April 13-14

Finch has a reputation for its thumping music and sexy shindigs, and for Songkran they’re putting the foam into FOMO. With live DJs every night, this is the place to be for people who like to dance like no one is watching—because your eyes are covered in bubbles. 

 
 

Topgolf Megacity Family Fun April 13-16

Get east of the city for a bit with this favorite place to golf (and drink and eat). This one is for the families. For the kiddiwinks, there’s a balloon man, games, soft serve, and plenty of drinks and food to keep mom and dad happy. Songkran at Public House - April 13-15

Public House is the cool and fairly new green building at the end of Sukhumvit Soi 31. In Public House style, they’re playing things cool: DIY postcards, Luk Thung Music, and vinyl to go with the drink specials at Open Bar. 

 

Songkran Pool Party - April 13-14

There are a lot of pool parties for Songkran, but not many at hotels as plush as the Shangri-la—and for a pretty good price too. For this, B800 will get you in the door for this little party on the Chaophraya. 

 

Tulum Dreamland Skybar - April 12-15

There’s a lot to satiate the hardcore EDM fan for Songkran, but Tulum is pulling out all the stops. Afro, hard techno, house—it’s all on offer for three days. It’s a big lineup from huge festival names. Tickets are available here

 

Dry Zone Songkran Party - April 13-15

Juicy is the downstairs party hub on Soi 11 that hip-hop fans just love. Your chances of staying dry while getting there are slim to none, but it’s Songkran, so you just have to roll the dice. 

 

Psy-Trance Pool Party - Apr 13

Songkran water pistols have no power when you’re in a pool. Hotel Clover in Asoke is putting on a one-night only pool party with four big names for you lovers of psy-trance tunes, and the official afterparty is at Mustache. Tickets available here

 

Octave Songkran Rooftop - April 11-13

At this plush midtown rooftop bar, you’ll have Corona Sunset with drinks on the 11th, DJ Mark and DJ Sam on the 12th, and Thai funk with DJ Kris Sakarakul on the 13th. Pick your day and enjoy the view. Reservations are available here

 

Irie Songkran April - 13-15

If you’re sitting there wondering which one of these events will be a bust, well, this won’t be it. It is sure to be a big party at Irie Bangkok - Jerk, Tunes & Tingz with more than two dozen musical acts set to take the stage. B200 will get you in. 

 

Songkran Fiesta at Havana

Fresh off their BAD Awards 2024 win for Best Theme Bar, Havana Social is at it with a new party for Songkran. Look forward to DJ Henry Knowles, DJ Pepe, a live Latin Band, and, as ever on Sundays, DJ Alex and free salsa lessons. Book here

 

Bangkok Songkran Parade - April 14

Silom will host one of Bangkok's largest Songkran celebrations, with a 5km mob lining the streets with water cannons and powder. The neighborhood will be putting on a Songkran Parade with a whole lot of dancing and singing. Be sure to rock up best dressed. More info here.
 

Songkran SO Pool Party - April 13-14  

One of the largest pool parties in the city, the wild So Bangkok pool party, is back. They’ll be spoiling you with two party styles. The pool-style side will be hammering out Nu Disco, Latin House, and House beats by DJs Kid Massive, Mikey Mike, and Sam Linden. The Solarium side will be playing a fun blend of Thai and international lineups. Tickets start from B700 per person, available here
 

Songkran Splash - April 13-14

Get ready for a family-friendly Songkran celebration at Sukhothai Bangkok. This event will have inflatables and a water playground, activities for kids and adults, food, and beverages. Tickets are B400 for kids and B300 for adults. More info here
 

Blast Songkran Pool Party - April 13 - 15

Blast and Double Tree Hilton are bringing you a three-day Songkran Pool Party, with an unconfirmed roster that includes live international DJs spinning house, minimal, and techno music. Tickets start from B400 per person and are available here
 
 

Songkran Splash Away - Tropical Edition

 
W Bangkok and Thai fashion brand Kinntor are teaming up for the hotel’s big annual Songkran pool party. This year, the party space will be decked out in all kinds of tropical-style decor — so you will at least get some beach vibes while staying in Bangkok. This is one of the better-known Songkran pool parties each year, and this year DJ Groove will take the decks to keep the party vibes going. Tickets here

Siam Songkran Music Festival - April 12-15

The Siam Songkran Music Festival has been a big part of Thailand’s Songkran celebrations since 2019. This year, they’re indulging us with four days of water festivities at RCA Central Park. The theme is “Celestial Odyssey,” which features an all-star lineup including Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Zedd, special guest Steve Aoki 22, and many more international DJs—taking over Central Park with massive production and state-of-the-art lighting effects.
