The century-old Neilson Hays Library, renowned for its collection of over 20,000 English language books, will host its popular bi-annual book sale this weekend (May 25-26).

The two-day event will give book lovers a chance to browse through thousands of secondhand fiction and non-fiction English books in all genres at bargain prices starting as low as B20. While paper bags (B10) and fashionable Neilson Hay totes (B350) will be provided, all visitors are encouraged to bring their own totes in order to help reduce single-use plastic bags.

For those who have any unwanted books to contribute to the sale, you can now drop them off at the library between 9:30am-5pm. All proceeds will go towards the upkeep of the library’s landmark building and their educational and arts programs.

If you wish to attend the book sale by car, parking is only available across the road at Voravit Building for a fee of B60. Entrance to the parking spaces is accessible via Surawong Road, about 20 meters from the library’s entrance. Parking on the street is not recommended.

Based on previous experience, you'll want to arrive early to snag the best deals.
