Satisfy yourself with delightful dishes from Siwalai City Club and more
This year, Central Embassy—in cooperation with five famous Bangkok restaurants—lets you enjoy the long weekend with family and friends in true Christmas style with their Holiday Special Dining Guide event, featuring seasonal menus available from today until Jan 2019. Here are the mouthwatering details:
Head up to the fifth floor, where you’ll find SIWILAI CITY CLUB offering a special holiday combo set, available from Dec 24-25. The menu features slow-cooked chicken marinated in fish sauce and herbs, grilled pork sausages and leeks served with nam phrik num (northern chili paste dip), crispy fried soft shell crab and a cheese platter.
Want to celebrate Christmas like a British royal? Go to Harrods for the four-course set-menu featuring grilled tiger prawns served with avocado salsa, or truffle and wild mushroom soup with croutons. For main dishes, you can choose between Australian Angus ribeye steak slathered with a herb butter and madeira sauce (brown sauce made with madeira wine and peppercorns) or rainbow trout steak with beurre blanc sauce. End your meal with earl grey creme brulee and vanilla ice cream. The set menu is available until Jan 31.
Three other restaurants with exclusive festive offers include: Dean & Deluca, whose Christmas menu is available until Jan 13, including truffle and pumpkin soup, turkey, roast beef, maple ham and salmon en croute. Don’t forget to add your choice of side dishes, like mashed potato with truffle, turkey stuffing or stir fried brussel sprouts and bacon. Another Hound has a line of seasonal dishes on offer, made using fresh produce from the Royal Project; try the highlander herb salad with smoked bresse chicken or the rainbow trout namplawan (grilled marinated rainbow trout served with quinoa, brown rice and sweet dipping sauce), available until Jan 31. Water Library is also taking part, rolling out three special menus available until Jan 4, including roasted baby chicken stuffed with morels, truffles and chestnuts, trio de canard (confit duck, duck sandwich and roasted duck breast served with carrot puree and duck sauce) and the mustard and herb crusted lamb rack, served with cream, baked potato, roasted eggplant, plum and lamb sauce.
On Dec 31 from 6pm onwards, help welcome 2019 at SIWILAI CITY CLUB. As well as a relaxing atmosphere and live DJ lineup, the cafe will unveil a delicious New Year's sharing set-menu. Expect classics like kanom jeen (fermented rice noodles) with oysters, tom kha mussels, skewer platters, beef steaks with local chimichurri dressing, gai yang (grilled chicken), soft shell crab curry, and desserts like the kaffir lime 70-percent chocolate bar.
