New Year’s Eve? Check. New Year’s Day hangover? Check. And now the weekend begins. This is BK’s first weekend round up for 2025. We told you we’d be back, and we are. We’ve got comedy, pool parties, and plenty to keep the New Year vibes going.

Velvet Sins

Thursdays are usually for ladies’ night, but the Iron Balls - The Parlor is doing one for the gents with buy-one-get-one gin and tonics all night for the fellas. More info here, Iron Balls - The Parlor

 

Time to Shine Comedy 

It’s the weekly Thursday comedy event from Leaf, Laugh, Love: Standup Comedy in Bangkok. Head down to Golden Hour BKK for some weekend yuks starting at 8pm. More info here, Golden Hour BKK

 

Thursday Movie Nights

For their Thursday movie night this week, this continuing Asian film fest will be showing the heartwarming Champions (which they remade into a film with Woody Harrelson in 2023) starting at 6pm. More info here, Asai Bangkok Chinatown 


 

Kizomba Connection

These days, it seems like Latin dance has taken over the city. This week, head to Manhattan Sukhumvit for their first class of the year starting at 7:30pm, and the learning sessions will be followed with a party. More info here, Manhattan Sukhumvit


 

Fri

Drum and Bass Resolution 

If your resolution involves less trips to the gym and more untz-untz-untz, then this is the spot for you. Running through Jan 5, this party will see Gardna and Aph spinning at the decks of Irie starting at 9pm. More info here, Irie Bangkok

 

Fatty’s New Year Kick Off

A little late to the New Year party, Fatty’s Bar and Diner is back after a short hiatus, and they’re bringing in three promos for their wings, poutine, and drinks starting at 11am. More info here, Fatty’s Bar and Diner 

 

Narcotic Live at Noise House Lat Phrao

South Korean band Narcotic will be lighting up Noise House, the best spot for live music in Lat Phrao, supported by Whipcream and Drizzle Pale, all kicking off at 7pm. More info here, Noise House Lat Phrao

 

Octave Station 11

For the view and for the tunes, it’s back to Octave this weekend for Dadoo, coming to Bangkok via Zagreb in Croatia starting at 6pm. More info here, Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit

Over the Rainbow

Tribe is alive for a free-entry event for their new “Over The Rainbow T-Dance” happening at rooftop bar Taco Hachi. Expect host Amadiva, Srimala, and Amora for a drag show every Saturday throughout January, with DJ Tannix spinning. More info here, Taco Hachi

 

Neon Techno Pool Party

Running from 3-10pm, this pool party held in conjunction with Rave Times will feature Bangkok’s beautiful partying well into the night. Tickets for entry start at B600, but you can also splash out for a VIP table. More info here, View Bangkok Rooftop Bar

 

CL BKK #4

Kicking off a three band night at 8pm, Papanin K, Codama, and Earth Tone will be bringing tunes from Thailand and Japan for one of Bangkok’s favorite spots for live music. More info here, Jam
