Valentine’s Day is in the rear view mirror, and if you have any money left for this weekend we’ve got a host of music, art, and food events to check out. Whether you are looking for a big-name concert, groovy jazz show, pricey steak dinner, or out-there experimental audio experience (drugs optional), we’ve got something for you here.
Thursday
This Thursday is the big day for fans of The Script, the longrunning Irish rock band that has been making tunes since 2001. The group is in town for one night only at the Muang Thong Thani Thunderdome. This band really made their mark with "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" in 2008—lifting vocals, emotional lifts, and heady tunes.
Last minute tickets can be found here.
Bar.Yard plays host to Bangkok-based DJ Musa Nova this Thursday for a full-on DJ set filled with everything from disco to techno. She can often be spotted playing beach gigs across Asia, so this is a chance to see Musa Nova live in the capital. Free entry, Bar.Yard
The popular ladies nights at Pastel Rooftop Bar continue this Thursday night on the 22nd floor of the Aira Hotel. From 9-11pm, ladies get free-flow sparkling wine, and everyone else gets access to a special cocktail list and BOGO oysters. If you show up early from 6:30-9pm you can join the dining experience as well. From 10pm onwards there will be a live DJ set and live drums. Free entry, Pastel Rooftop Bar.
One of the OG’s of Bangkok’s New York-style steakhouse scene is hosting a massive event this Thursday in collaboration with the renowned Laurent Ponsot Wine. The five-course experience includes five wine pairings from the winery. There are only 30 seats available. Tickets B9,500, New York Steakhouse at JW Marriott.

The folks at Vivin might be the country’s single best supporters of Thai-made cheese, which has exploded in popularity over the past few years. The crew is back for its monthly Thai cheese buffet, which includes 20 varieties of cheese, homemade cold cuts, and two different types of bread to smoosh it all on. There’s also organic jams and chutneys, honey and other dressings. Each ticket comes with a glass of GranMonte wine. Limited to only 35 seats.

Is it “Suckin” Friday or “Shuckin” Friday? We can’t tell because the event name and artwork use different names. In any case, you will be shucking and, we guess, sucking plenty of oysters at Oskar Bistro’s special Friday event this week. Buy six oysters and get nine for B560 (B62/oyster) or buy 12 and get 18 for B1,080 (B60/oyster). Free entry, Oskar Bistro.
Saturday
Underground music people, we have an event for underground music people (FUMP) as Belgium's Marco Bailey visits Fuchsia Club this Saturday for a big night of techno music, which seems to be the most popular type of club music in the city at the moment. Bailey’s decades-long DJ and music career has taken him across the globe as the world’s techno scene has increased in popularity. Joining him will be a line-up of international and local talents on the decks. Tickets B550 (early bird) and B750 (presale). Both include a free drink.
One of Bangkok’s most legendary pool parties is still going strong in 2025 at SO/Bangkok’s The Water Club on the 10th floor. The DJ’s on rotation include Kid Massive, Mikey Mike, and Sunday Sundae (too bad DJ Dancey Dance couldn’t make it) who will be dropping some house and nu disco tunes.
Tickets B700 (early bird) and B800 (door), found here.
Watch talented artists duke it out (metaphorically) in timed rounds to see who makes the best art under specific creative challenges, and cast your votes to crown the winner, at Art Battle Bangkok. The travelling event series has proven popular across the globe and the Bangkok show is no different. The event at The Fig Lobby features 12 artists competing over three rounds.
Tickets from B250 (early bird) and B399 (door), found here.
Melodic death metal is the name of the game at Solar Hell this Saturday as flame and fire themed Taiwanese band Infernal Chaos rolls into town supported by a trio of familiar Thailand death metal groups, Azzmanian, Lowfat, and Meltgsnow. Singapore melodic death metal group Courts of Hell will also join the event with their signature blend of Chinese mythology and music. Death, hell, fire, demons, chaos, music.
Tickets found here.
Sunday
One of the most unsettling names you will come across in music, Jaw Surgery, is coming to the popular underground music and experimental audio haunt Noise House this Sunday. Jaw Surgery leans on the experimental audio side of the equation, using harsh feedback, delay, and vocal sounds to create what he calls a “cacophony of dread and psychosis”. We’re not telling you to smoke weed, but if you do this might be the show for it. A handful of other experimental artists will also be on hand.
Tickets B300, found here.
The unlikely but welcome combination of blues music and brunch favorites collide at The Londoner this weekend, with live music from 1-4pm and food available from noon-5pm. All the classics are here, Sunday roast, pork with crackling, garlic roasted chicken, roast beef, and even poutine. Bookings are recommended. Free entry, The Londoner.
Two of our absolute favorite kitchen teams are coming together once again for a special barbecue brunch that, frankly, is impossible to disappoint. Tapori and the folks from Aromkwan are bringing their duo of insane grill, fire pit, and smoking skills to Tapori’s breezy Phrom Phong terrace this weekend (the event happens every Sunday but why not go this weekend?). The menu is vast, and all of it looks worth trying. Check it out this weekend from 12:30-3:30pm.
Seats are B2,000. Reservations and menu here.
Coco Lashaun, who is arguably the most recognizable jazz singer in the entire country, is hitting up Foojohn this Sunday for a night of jazz and live music supported by Pawin Limkangvanmongkol (piano), Noppadol Tirataradol (bass), and Mr. Sticks (drums). Free entry, Foojohn.
