Head to Thonglor’s risque artspace for this photography exhibition by Lao Xie Xie, which plays on the dichotomous Thai pronunciation of 555 (ha ha ha) and the Chinese pronunciation (wu wu wu—a crying sound) to explore differences in perception and the Yin and Yang of life.

Video artist and film director Chulayarnnon Siriphol has been painstakingly collecting newspaper cuttings since the military coup in May 2014. His colorful collages with dissident undercurrents turn news stories on their heads, imbuing them with comments on bureaucratic inertia and hypocrisy. The exhibition will feature a four-channel animation of the newspaper collages made daily by the artist over five years. To ensure public safety, visitors must wear masks and make an appointment in advance via [email protected] or 083-087-2725. A virtual opening party will also be held on Jun 21, 9-10:30pm, on Clouds Virtual Club’s Facebook page.
