The Last Drop had barely opened when the bar and restaurant closures hit. Now you can celebrate the new sports hub’s reopening, with 10 percent of takings going towards their next charity food giveaway. The celebration will be followed up on Jun 20 with the return of the Premier League and a pool competition and on Jun 21 with a meet up for World Music Day.

World Music Day Bangkok 2020

Hailing from France, this internationally-celebrated event aims to promote amateur and professional music artists. It’s Bangkok manifestation will feature a screening of immersive French electronic documentary “French Waves” at Alliance Française de Bangkok on Jun 20, 2pm (B120), followed by live-streamed DJ sets from Studio Lam in partnership with United We Stream Asia at 7pm. On Jun 21, tune in online at 3pm for live music from Thai and French artists playing at So Bangkok.

Coco Rouzier and Friends Perform for Justice

Join this virtual concert to raise funds for Until Freedom, an intersectional organization fighting for social justice in the US. Expect performances from singers, musicians, rappers, and poets, including Thaitanium’s Big Calo; jazz vocalist Lezlie Harrison; singer, poet, and trumpeter Jeng and more. The event is free to attend; direct donations to Until Freedom are encouraged and will gain you raffle tickets.

Head to Thonglor’s risque artspace for this photography exhibition by Lao Xie Xie, which plays on the dichotomous Thai pronunciation of 555 (ha ha ha) and the Chinese pronunciation (wu wu wu—a crying sound) to explore differences in perception and the Yin and Yang of life.

Give Us A Little More Time

Video artist and film director Chulayarnnon Siriphol has been painstakingly collecting newspaper cuttings since the military coup in May 2014. His colorful collages with dissident undercurrents turn news stories on their heads, imbuing them with comments on bureaucratic inertia and hypocrisy. The exhibition will feature a four-channel animation of the newspaper collages made daily by the artist over five years. Van Gogh Life and Art
