Sneaker lovers and gym bunnies, you can now customize your Nike gear in Singapore
Next up, Singapore's own Nike Lab, perhaps?
Sneaker fans and health freaks used to moan and groan at the limited selection of sportswear and gear at the local Nike stores, and our inability to ship kicks to Singapore from the international web stores. But all that whining and complaining is now coming to an end because, great news, Nike.com just announced a bunch of exciting new services for Singapore shoppers.
The situation had been grim for a while: we do get the latest kicks and sports tech in brick-and-mortar stores in Singapore, but in limited quantities and selection. It was also a pain to access the highly popular NIKEiD customization service: you'd have to get around it by sending it to Hong Kong and then either jetting off for the weekend to pick it up or begging your friend to bring it to you.
But now you'll have access to the full range of products across various categories including Running, Football, Women’s Training and Lifestyle, among others. Even more exciting, go nuts with the NIKEiD customization options and choose more than just the color of the upper and outsole. For example, if you're getting the Air Force 1 Mid, you can pick the various camo themes, the material of the foxing, eyestay, tip, vamp, tongue and quarter, the color of the lace and most importantly, include text (like your initials or nickname) on the backtab. Fine print, though: all the customization will be done in Hong Kong, so it'll take a while to get to you.
We’re still not getting our own Nike Lab though, but we're told it is a distinct possibility in the near future. Fingers crossed!
