From as little as B1.

Nima Chandler, daughter of late artist and mapmaker Nancy Chandler (of “Nancy Chandler’s Map of Bangkok” fame), has recently launched a huge used book sale. Featuring 500 titles from their family’s collection, including a number of rare books and some starting from as little as B1, the sale is being held entirely online.

On the impressive website, Chandler has meticulously divided the books into over 50 categories, ranging from Americana to Art and Disney, Business, Current Issues, Space, Thrillers, Thailand, Vietnam and more.

Although titles like Lisa Mosconi’s “Brain Food” have already been gobbled up, you can still shop for fascinating books like Oliver Sacks’ “Musicophilia,” which explores how some people have curious reactions to music; “Graphic Annuals from the 1960s,” which highlights rare creative commercial art and was, according to Chandler, treasured by her mother; “The Unknown Shore: The Lost History of England's Arctic Colony” by Robert H. Ruby; “Vietnamese Art Collections;” and “Obama's Visit to Myanmar”—a commemorative collector’s item; to name a few.

To guarantee your chosen books are reserved, pay online via the website. Delivery is B100 in Thailand and should take one-to-three days, otherwise pick-up can be arranged from Phloen Chit. Any books remaining following the sale will be donated to the Neilson Hays Library for their next book sale, which is typically biannual though was postponed in May due to Covid-19.
