It's that time of year again. Get ready to join the queues on Nov 5, when Swedish ready-to-wear brand H&M's latest designer collaboration hits Bangkok. Just be warned, it won't all be pocket-friendly.

Social media has gone into overdrive. Set to launch on Nov 5, H&M's latest collaboration with French fashion house Balmain looks set to spark queues in Bangkok typically reserved for popcorn and doughnuts (or last year's Alexander Wang collaboration).

You will have seen some of the pieces floating around the internet over the last couple of weeks, thanks in part to the campaign's "Balmain Army" that includes the likes of Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn, all of whom are personal friends of Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing.

At a press preview event held at CentralWorld yesterday, we got a sneak peek at some of the collection (see the slideshow above). And it really, really looks like the Balmain mainline.

The collaboration retains the sophisticated sharp tailoring, silk and elborate embroidery that Balmain is known for. Ladies highlight pieces include the deep-v neck green sequin bodycon dress (B6,499), the silk satin high-waisted harem pants (B3,499), and the much-coveted embroidered black velvet blazer (B17,999).

That's right, while the collection is not as expensive as actual Balmain, it's still pretty steep compared to previous H&M designer collaborations.

Key pieces for the menswear collection include hand-embroidered leather jackets and blazers (starting from B3,499) and biker trousers (starts from B2,499). Accessories also stick to the military-esque vibe, featuring black boots, large golden cuffs and belts, beanies and shades.

The collection will be available on Nov 5, just like everywhere else in the world. If you really can't wait, check out the Balmain x H&M's film campaign below:
