Share some joy

Inspired by the late King’s Bhumibol’s philosophy on the unconditional giving, Siam Discovery is taking the opportunity to express this philosophy through activities that allow mall-goers to support the disadvantaged children.

The event promises activities like “Think Giving,” which features eight creative gift concepts and gift designing workshops from Cheeze x Siam Discovery. There is also the “Gifts for Them” where shoppers will get to help make 500 children’s dreams come true by buying them the gifts on their wish lists with a 50% discount.

On top of that, the customers can enjoy a brilliant art installation while shopping. And every post on instagram with one of these hashtags #CitizenOfLove, #GiveGoodLove and #SiamDiscovery will provide one meal for a disadvantaged child.

A Week-long festival to celebrate craft beer and crafts on a rooftop

Bangkok is getting a one-week beer festival to celebrate this Christmas and new year with the local brewers and craftmen in Craft Space Beer Week at the rooftop of Ladprao's Move Amaze on Dec 25-31.

The festival is organized by Taopiphop Limjittrakorn, whose early brewing career was interrupted by an arrest for illegal homebrewing. He’s since opened an entirely legal brewery, the Taopiphop Ale Project.

The festival begins at 5pm each evening, and will feature a number of international breweries including California’s Anderson Valley and Stone Brewing, Oregon-based Rogue Ales & Spirits and Deschutes Brewery, Michigan’s Founders Brewing Company and Tuatara Brewing from New Zealand. Representing the local scene are Group B Beer, Chit Beer, Taopiphop Ale Project, Whale Brewery and Nectar Brewery.

The festival also promises workshops and talks from recognized industry names, such as Vichit Saiklao, owner and brewer of Chit Beer Bar; Panithan Tongsiri, the founder of Stone Head Thai Craft Beer; Archirawas Wannasrisawas, the owner of Liger and Allemand; and Supaphong Phrunglampu, one of the founders of Sandport Beer.

On the less boozy end, Yer Space has artsy (and kid-friendly) activities involving polymer clay, ceramics, painting and T-shirt scrint screening.

There will also be a live DJ set from the Suburb Sound collective.

Entry is free except for the Yer Space workshops, which vary in price. For more details, visit fb.com/craftspacebeerweek.
