Time to ditch the elephant pants

Think of Bali attire and what springs to mind? For the average Singaporean, most likely printed harem pants, flip flops, and airy fabrics. Well fans of lightweight, minimalistic casual basics will be pleased to know they can soon get their hands on a certain Japanese brand famed for the aesthetic in Bali, very soon.

Uniqlo has announced that it will open its first store in Bali by the end of the year, at Mal Bali Galeria in the heart of Kuta city center. At the 2,000 sqm store, you’ll be able to pick up the same high quality LifeWear pieces found in Uniqlos worldwide—as well as the brand’s signature Airism and HeatTech lines, for men, women, kids and babies. The mall on Kuta Beach currently houses other fashion brands like Gosh and H&M, along with sportswear brands Nike and Billabong.

Out of Uniqlo’s 2,000 or so stores all over the world, 18 are in Indonesia, located in Jakarta and five other major cities. Sure took them awhile to bring easy, breezy fabrics to the country’s most popular tourist beach destination, but better late than never.

Uniqlo Mal Bali Galeria will be located on Level 1, Mal Bali Galeria at Jalan By Pass Ngurah Rai, Simpang Dewa Ruci, Kuta, Kabupaten Bandung, Bali 80361.
