The Bangkok wine bar from Austrian crystal glassware company
Riedel has given its menu a more easygoing after-work vibe courtesy of new head chef Patrick Martens (formerly of Zuma and Lady Brett) and some great booze bargains.
Tapas plates (available Mon-Fri) of white anchovies with grilled pear and lemon oil (B400), padron peppers with chorizo (B350) and peppered lardo with semi-dried tomatoes (B400) have a distinctly Spanish influence.
Meanwhile B295 cocktails (try the Wine Spritzer: sparkling wine, soda and dehydrated orange) are all now two-for-one from 5-10pm on Wed and Fri. Or go with the new five-glass wine flight at B599.
In addition, the bar is also launching a monthly series of wine-tasting events, kicking off this Friday (Mar 17) with a session oall about Burgundy.
For B1,500, you'll get to try five different labels including the 2014 Domaine Long-Depaquit Chablis (B2,900/bottle) and 2013 Domaine de Montille Bourgogne - Rouge (B2,900/bottle)—two of the region's most iconic vineyards. Limited to 12 seats only.
