Where to get Cuban food in Singapore
Now that the US and Cuba are on better terms, it's time to celebrate with some Cuban food.
This swish hotel bar in Sentosa has an expansive semi-outdoor space complete with oversized seats and loungers. Loosely based around all things Havana, drinks include fresh-pressed sugar cane mojitos and the rum-based Six Star Swizzle. Plus, they've got Havana Nights every Friday, with a Cuban-style barbecue of spiced, skewered meats, as well as a live jazz band.
As the name suggests, this Clarke Quay staple has got everything to do with Cuba. From a wide range of mojitos and Cuban-inspired drinks to Cuban nosh like pollo y chorizo, a chicken and chorizo dish with bell peppers and a tomato concasse sauce; and albondigas, Cuban meatballs in tomato concasse. They've also got a live band playing Latin music to get the night going.
Home to Singapore's largest walk-in humidor, you can find a treasure trove of limited edition cigars dating back to the 2000s. There are over 100 whiskies and 200 types of cigars like the much-loved Havanas. Sink into the plush leather couches and enjoy.
This boutique hotel is home to a Cuban bar, restaurant, cigar shop and club. Although you can sink into a chair and puff some classy cigars, we prefer the restaurant and bar that serves up fusion Cuban food. There's also a band playing Latin, jazz and tango music, too.
