A portion of the proceeds goes to Covid Relief Bangkok, too.

The Old Town’s Kangkao and Ekkamai’s Marchwood are joining forces, offering a series of mystery wine boxes over the next four weeks that highlight sought-after natural wines and grower champagnes.

Available for delivery, each box comes with three different bottles of the good stuff curated by wine gurus Elaine Sun from Kangkao, known for her natural wine expertise, and Giuseppe “Jo” Cola, a former Perrier-Jouët Ritz Commis-Sommelier in London and now the head wine guy at Marchwood.

The boxes will feature a new theme each week, like “instant classics” and “we like it weird,” but customers won’t know exactly what they’re getting until their package arrives.

The first box, “instant classics,” is available now and comes with an Italian skin-contact white that’s a blend of three grapes, a light-bodied French red, and a grower champagne, a term used for a champagne produced by the estate that owns the vineyards where the grapes are grown.

Prices will range from B5,190 to B5,600 each week, but if you’re ready to pony up for all four now, you can get them for B4,990 each. All prices are net and include free delivery throughout Bangkok.

For every box, Kangkao and Marchwood will also donate B150 to Covid Relief Bangkok, a multi-faceted effort to provide aid to Bangkok’s hardest hit communities. The project was launched by the Sati Foundation, Scholars of Sustenance, and the Urban Studies Lab, with support from Bangkok 1899 and the Thai Health Volunteers Foundation.
