A vino bar turns its hand to timeless Burgundy fare.
Terroir Expression, a French bistro and wine bar in Ekkamai on the ground floor of Terroir Bkk, a multi-floor dining concept, now offers a menu serving modern French comfort food, Burgundy style. 
 
The menu here is unpretentious and honest, not shying away from dishes like escargot and wagyu tartare while being bold enough to tackle classic dishes that leave little room for error: steak, fish, and duck. The dishes are rich and fuller in flavor than the traditional French techniques thanks to its Northeastern French menu. 
 
To start, try the hot goat salad (B550), with a classic combination of goat cheese, walnut, fig, and tomato, topped with balsamic sauce. For mains, we recommend the roast chicken with their homemade fries  (B990); the whole chicken is grilled and stuffed with fragrant rice. The staff fires herbs inside the chicken to infuse the dish with a more aromatic flavor—served with a generous amount of vin jaune. 
 
A burgundy menu isn’t complete without beef bourguignon (B650). Their version includes stewed beef tongue and a bouquet of herbs simmered for hours in red Burgundy wine until the meat is tender. Both of the mains come with a side of mashed potatoes. End the meal with profiteroles (B380), featuring light choux, vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate sauce sprinkled with almond slices.  
 
This basement-vibes resto has opulent, timber-detailed furnishing, picture frames all over the walls, leather seats, and a ground-floor wine bar,  creating a cozy and inviting ambiance. Diners are also welcome to take a tour of their cellar, which offers an impressive selection of new and old-world wines with a particular emphasis on Burgundy wines. Chill at the bar and sip wine or tuck into a full French feast—accompanied by live music on Fridays and Saturdays.
