It seems to be the season for newly-launched weekend brunches option at fine dining restaurants we're usually too broke to dine at. It gets tricky to tell all those hotel buffets apart, but old-school European-themed restaurant Tables (Grand Hyatt Erawan, 494 Rachdamri Rd., 02-254-1234) has handled the challenge well. With the handsome new chef Michel Eschmann at the helm, their Sunday brunch (B1,400 per person, additional B580 for free-flow wines, beers and soft drinks) is an extension of their overall dining concept: no buffet, just lots of live cooking stations serving up classic Western dishes like steak tartare, risotto, Sunday roast with vegetables, salads, peach Melba and more. Every Sunday, noon-2:30pm.
