Singapore's well-known pastry chef Janice Wong is opening her third overseas outpost in Macau
A spectacular 7.3-meter tall chocolate fountain will be on display
If you're planning to head over to the upcoming futuristic-looking MGM Cotai casino and resort in Macau, give some love to Singapore's well-known pastry chef Janice Wong, who'll be setting up her third offshoot within the vicinity. Currently, she has a dim sum restaurant at National Museum of Singapore, 2am:dessertbar at Holland Village and a couple of dessert bars and restaurants across Hong Kong and Tokyo. By now, you'll know that she specializes in innovative and modern never-before-seen interpretations of desserts that's both fun and progressive.
The dramatic experience you'll get at Janice Wong MGM will feature a 7.3-meter high milk, white and dark chocolate fountain, which has been specially flown in from Las Vegas. A video from her official Facebook page reveals that they'll be serving 20 chocolate flavors, 20 cookie flavors, eight types of eclairs and more. Creative creations like jasmine tea-infused chocolates and black sesame popcorn cakes will be offered as well, to accomodate to the Chinese market. Also on site are live chocolate, crepe and dessert stations.
Apart from Janice Wong MGM, the resort will also see other restaurants helmed by established chefs, such as Coast by Chef Graham Elliot of Top Chef and Aji by Chef Mitsuharu Tsumura, whose restaurant Maido clinched 8th on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list 2017.
