The new afternoon tea series includes live jazz

For those of you suffering from Bridgerton withdrawals and/or wanting to live out your own Regency era fantasy, might we suggest an afternoon tea that is just as fancy as those on the hit Netflix show?

The Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel’s “The Tree of Life Afternoon Tea” series’ first episode, “The Tree of Joy,” allows guests to sit back, relax, and treat yourselves to one of the finest tea rituals in town. Inspired by the concept of the “tree of life” and the importance of our daily connections to the natural world, the Tree of Life Afternoon Tea is a chance for guests to slow down and partake in a luxurious tea-time tradition, especially during this festive season.

Upon taking your seat in the Sheraton’s elegant surroundings, guests are welcomed with a plate of fresh English scones served with homemade clotted cream and strawberry jam. What follows is a dessert lover’s dream: a duo of macarons filled with passion cremeux, a rich hazelnut chocolate tart, opera mille-feuille cake, pistachio choux cream, raspberry lychee mousse, and a honey lemon panna cotta drizzled with a sweet honey sauce.

The Tree of Joy Afternoon Tea is priced at B1,400 (includes a selection of TWG tea or Segafredo coffee), or B1,600 (includes an alcoholic drink). It is available from 2pm-5pm on Monday to Friday.

At the same time, the hotel’s iconic The Living Room will also be hosting their Jazz Afternoon Tea where guests can enjoy a series of captivating jazz performances as you sip on your cuppa and enjoy the decadent baked treats. In addition to a live singer and pianist, the band will be playing on exclusive bronze instruments including the saxophone, French horn, and trumpet that were custom-made solely for this event. The Jazz Afternoon Tea is available from 2pm-5pm on Monday to Saturday, making it an ideal way to unwind on a lazy Saturday afternoon.
