Italian fine dining institution Sensi is bringing chef Nicolas Joanny back to Bangkok for a one-night-only, France-meets-Italy four-hands dinner this Nov 4.

Those who know and love Le Vendome, Sukhumvit Soi 31’s long-standing French restaurant, might recognize that name. The globetrotting Joanny, who was born in Congo and grew up in western Africa and France, had a hugely successful four-year stint at Le Vendome until 2007, when he left Bangkok for Singapore to open his eponymous Nicolas in a cozy little spot in the Bukit Pasoh Conservation Area. Ever since, he’s been serving his classically French dishes using seasonal ingredients sourced from across France and Japan to a loyal crowd of regulars.

At Sensi, he’s teaming up with chef Stefano Merlo—himself a fan favorite, thanks to his awesome reigns at Enoteca and now Sensi—for an absolute steal of a five-course dinner. For B3,200, you get five courses prepared by two world-class chefs and wines. That price is net, folks. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a better deal this year, considering the culinary credentials the two chefs wield.
