No, there aren’t any tubs. The "bath" in Bath and Buns is for the British city, and the resulting Bath Buns are fluffy, golden buns you can find in Ekkamai. It’s not about the coffee or tea; here, the pastries are the main event.

Bath and Buns opened its doors in December 2023 after a two-year endeavor inspired by three friends: Kajohnsak “Boy” Udomwattanachai, Nicha “Jaa” Thongkhawphurg, and Nakamol “Mild” Innuang, who studied together in the city of Bath and fell in love with both the city and their famed buns. Now, they’ve taken it, twisted it, and made it their own.

Bath and Buns co-owner Boy tells BK Magazine how the team redesigned the sweet brioche bread by making the outside crispier, resulting in a cross between brioche and croissant: crispy and flaky on the outside, feather-light and buttery on the inside. They’ve also altered the shape, putting a hole in the center to add filling.

So what’s on the menu? Their signature is the sweet banana and salted caramel of the Miso Bathnoffee topped with cold cream and miso crumble. Only early birds can get the Queen’s Harmony as they sell just five pieces per day because the shop imports Betty’s Tea from Yorkshire, a tea brand that’s made into cream and mixed with honey. They also serve cinnamon rolls, made with many thin layers and a special miso caramel sauce that’s slightly sweet and salty.

The first floor is dedicated to the history of Bath and Buns. The second floor is decorated to highlight Bath’s Roman history, featuring columns, a balcony, curved arches, antique-like decor and knickknacks, honey-ivory walls, and vintage photographs of Bath. The third floor has been transformed into a co-working space with the clever gimmick of writing a mailbox postcard to yourself for next year.
