Looks like our Michelin-affiliated Thai restaurants are a hot target for big-deal wine dinners. Hot on the heels of an Alsatian wine dinner at Nahm, Monsoon Valley is joining forces with Sra Bua for a six-course wine dinner later this week. Alongside Sra Bua's deconstructions of traditional Thai food, sample the best of Monsoon Valley's offerings, such as the Cuvee de Siam Rouge (which we reviewed here), their sparkling Blanc de Blanc and the late-harvest Chenin Blanc. The evening starts with an aperitif at 7pm. The price is B2,600 per person. Considering that the regular set dinner at Sra Bua, minus wine, is B2,400, we consider this an amazing deal.
