Known for his blend of Chinese and French cuisine in Hong Kong, the renowned chef has come up with an entirely new concept for Bangkok.

The new lifestyle space above Empire Tower in Sathorn, named EA (pronounced eh-ah), has been buzzing these last few weeks, with the highly anticipated Nobu and a new restaurant from Chef Ton all opening during the same week.

Now, one of Hong Kong’s most talented Michelin-star chefs, Vicky Cheng, has launched his first overseas project: K by Vicky Cheng. The new venue aims to blend the worlds of time-honored Chinese cuisine with some contemporary twists, like local Thai produce, under the concept “The Harvest of Kilin”. The style of food is actually inspired by Chinese mythology and a gentle, benevolent spirit named Kilin.

On top of the fun twists on Chinese cuisine and traditions, you’ll also find a nice selection of imported Chinese teas and tea-infused beverages, like cocktails and mocktails.

The venue, like all in EA, comes with breathtaking views of downtown Bangkok and a swanky interior draped in deep Burgundy color schemes and classic Chinese art adorning the walls.

56/F, Empire Tower, Sathorn Rd., 02-407-1654, Open daily 11:30am-2:30am, 5:30pm-10:30pm
