A Thai woman who lived in Paris, where she took a course specializing in macarons, is opening a shop under the name Jean-Louis Gallet (G/F, Siam Paragon, Rama 1 Rd., 085-488-1588). She promises her take on the sweet round pastry will be even more voluptuous than the one from Le Notre—and will come in a lot more varieties. On Nov 18, another shop will open at K. Village.
