At a restaurant this good, that’s a crazy deal

One of Bangkok’s most storied Japanese restaurants, Kisso in the The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, is celebrating its 25th birthday this month, and is rolling out an exquisite kaiseki menu (a traditional Japanese multi-course dinner), discounted sushi and an Ultimate Japanese Sunday Brunch to commemorate the occasion.

The restaurant has maintained a very dedicated following in Bangkok ever since its acclaimed debut in 1993, only one year after the Westin itself opened its doors. There has been a long line of impressive chefs to helm the kitchen, including the current leader Chef Chatree Pangsil, who’s played a role in the restaurant's many awards, including the Thailand Tatler Best Restaurant award.

Here’s the details on the new menus:

Ultimate Kaiseki

Dinner only, daily from Aug 1-31, 6pm-10:30pm

Experience this indulgent kaiseki menu along with a sake pairing with up to 10 guests in a private room, with a special memento for all. Price is only 25,000 baht net, and advanced reservation is required.

25-Baht Sushi

Lunch only, Mon-Sat, noon-2:30pm

Enjoy a special selection of Kisso’s signature nigiri and maki rolls priced at only 25 baht each (minimum spend: 1,000 baht per table).

Unlimited a la carte Sunday Lunch – Birthday Special

Given the significance of the celebration, every Sunday in August, Kisso is offering its “Unlimited a la Carte Sunday Lunch”, with the full-slate of premium dishes prepared with the best ingredients in mind.

The best part? This is free for 25-year-olds, too (provided they are accompanied by at least 2 paying diners each and are able to prove their age). Bookings are essential.
