Local roaster Ceresia now hosts workshops at its Silom cafe to give beginners foundation knowledge about specialty coffee.

Led by roaster-owner Garin “Bret” Asavaroengchai, the three-hour session starts with a short lecture on the different types of coffee beans, coffee cultivation and cycle, bean processing, roast levels and grind sizes.

Afterwards, you get to learn hands-on about coffee flavors and aroma through basic cupping and coffee brewing skills using the filter method.

Sign up for a Thai or English class (B2,000/person with a maximum of seven people/class) at [email protected]. Private classes are also available for a group of four or more.
