Keong Saik's hip new restaurant is called...Meta
And this one seems to have an NYC pedigree.
As if Keong Saik could get any more saturated with the plethora of restaurants and bars flanking the streets, there's yet another newcomer on the road. But this one may just be a legit contender.
Enter Meta, a modern Asian restaurant that's currently setting up shop at 9 Keong Saik Road. With the big daddy of F&B spaces over at The Working Capitol (think Neon Pigeon, Lollapalooza, Luxe and The Daily Roundup) and Chef Andrew Walsh's new bistronomy outfit Cure a few doors down, this place may just give the stretch a dash more pizzazz.
While the details are vague, judging from their Instagram we can expect pretty plates of modern American food with Asian touches and a selection of craft beers. Plus, the executive chef of the place is Jonas Offenbach who's had stints at New York City's Gramercy Tavern and has even appeared on culinary TV show Iron Chef. He's most recently teamed up with Top Chef frontrunner Angelo Sosa to head the kitchen of Tribeca restaurant Anejo Tribeca.
Stay tuned for more details.
