Karmakamet Conveyance is moving to Sukhumvit this November
You never know what to expect with this boundry-defying fine-dining experience.
Following a brief stint at Lhong 1919, Karmakamet Conveyance is relocating to a new, more central location on Sukhumvit Soi 49.
Karmakamet began life as a local aromatherapy brand, before moving into the realm of cute cafes and diners. Karmakamet Conveyance takes things a step further with its fine-dining, dinner-only approach.
With its limitless, boundary-defying ethos, the concept here can be a little disconcerting, but entrust your evening to chef Jutamas “Som” Theantae and you'll be taken on an eye-opening journey through Western and Asian flavors. Displaying only the names of the dishes, the menu sheds little light—just know that this is all part of the concept. Diners will be provided with details of each dish once the experience is over, which leaves things open to interpretation throughout the meal.
The 12 course menu (B2,500) takes you on a journey through chef Som's extensive travels, reinterpreting age-old cooking techniques to create everything from her own version of hoy tod (fried oyster omelet), to soothing Chinese herb broths and Indian-inspired lamb.
Thanks to her love of Champagne, she also offers Champagne-pairing for an additional B2,500. The new venue is set to open in November.
