JW Marriott's Man Ho welcomes a new executive chef
And it's just in time for Chinese New Year, too.
JW Marriott celebrates the Year of the Monkey with the arrival of a new executive chef at Man Ho restaurant. Malaysian-born chef Teng Kam Seng, whose previous experience includes stints as a private chef for various wealthy clients as well as in the Chinese kitchens InterContinental Phnom Penh, has introduced a revamped menu just in time for Chinse New Year.
Highlights include the Cantonese-style Homemade tofu with shimeji mushroom and abalone sauce, deep fried pork ribs with Zheng Jiang vinegar sauce (a specialty from Zheng Jiang province) and crispy scallop with butter egg floss, inspired by Sichuan cuisine.
For a taste of central China, try the poached sea whelk with vinegar wasabi sauce, as well as the river prawn with crispy cucumber. All items are served in a modern style while maintaining the authentic taste of Chinese cuisine.
The elegant dining room has also introduced an all-you-can-eat dim sum buffet at B1,500 per person, as well as a Chinese round table of 10 guests at B20,900. Marriott Cafe is also throwing a special Chinese New Year Brunch and Dinner Buffet at B2,125 per person during the period.
