Bangkok's top French eatery Four Garcons just opened a sister restaurant called Joe’s Table (2/F, The Promenade, Ramintra Rd., Bangkok, 02-947-5691). It’s an altogether more fun and casual affair, from the blue geometry partition to the yellow and white striped canopy. The owners have brought some of the fave dishes with them, sitting on the menu alongside comfort food that spans Thai, Vietnamese and Italian cuisine and beyond. Try such fare as braised ox cheek in red wine (B350), pasta nam liab (Chinese salted olives, B180), bitter melon salad and boiled chicken breast (B160) and Javanese salted fish fried rice (B185).
