Leave it up to chef Chet.

Nestled deep down a residential Charoenkrung soi, far removed from the Japanese hotbed that is Sukhumvit, the sleek modern izakaya Jua is providing the fuel for many a big night out.

Well-traveled chef Chet Atkins deals in Japanese-style grilled skewers that showcase both excellent produce and expert preparation, as anyone who's tried options like the succulent tiger prawn smeared with your choice of durian or garlic butter after sizzling under aromatic longan wood can attest.

This Mar 22-29, Apr 1-7, you're invited to place the course of your entire meal in the capable hands of chef Chet when Jua introduces its omakase (a Japanese dining term meaning “I’ll leave it up to the chef”) tasting menu at just B1,500++ per person.

So, what does your baht get you? Well, that'll depend on what's fresh on the day. It's not just kushiyaki (traditional grilled skewers) that Jua specializes in; they're also known to roll out all sorts of comfort munchies with Japanese and Korean twists—we're partial to both the fresh yellow fin poke and the uni, ikura and nori pasta. Part of the fun is in not know what might be served next.

The event is part of BK's Top Tables Champions series running from Mar 21-Apr 7, in which we team up with over 20 of the city's top restaurants to offer amazing fixed price menus and other culinary experiences. Book your spot for Jua here (sake pairing also available).
