By this point, if you live in Bangkok, you’ve undoubtedly seen all the dispensaries that’ve been popping up around the city following the country’s legalization of weed. Throwing their hat into the ring is Four Twenty, which also happens to be Thailand’s first cannabis bar and cafe, located on Soi Sukhumvit 22 (climb the discrete set of stairs just before you reach Makro).

Customers can buy products in-store as well as place an order online. Their website also sells pretty much any piece of equipment you’ll want for your smoking needs, including papers, grinders, bongs, and locally-made pipes.

As for the brick-and-mortar shop, actual brick is a big component of the simple but spacious venue – the space is decorated with exposed brick walls and a brick bar counter in the middle. Lining the walls on one side are tall, sleek open shelves that have their extensive collection of products on full display. The price per gram ranges from B420 (ha) to B800.

Unlike most other dispensaries, Four Twenty has an on-site rolling station where staff will help customers *ahem* assemble their purchases. For the DIYers, there are, of course, dedicated tables where you can roll your joints yourself with the provided trays and grinders.

There are samples and little information cards on display for all of their products, but we’ll highlight a few so you have an idea of the several different options. One of the most popular items on the menu is the earthy-tasting Colt 45, an indica-dominant hybrid that’s made up of Slur n Wesson and OGKB strains. Another of Four Twenty’s bestsellers is The Runtz, a sativa-dominant strain that is a result of cross-breeding the Gelato and Zkittles strains. Despite its grungy-sounding name, The Runtz actually has a sweet flavor reminiscent of fruits and berries. Along similar flavor profile lines, there’s also London Pound Cake, which tastes like a mix of berries and citrus fruits, as it’s a blend of Sunset Sherbet and another indica strain. And then there’s the aptly-named Miracle Angel Cookies (or MAC 1), which tastes like a mix of vanilla and citrus (in other words, like cookies); this one is a sativa-dominant strain with a cross-breed of Miracle 15 and Alien Cookies F2.

We said Four Twenty was a cafe as well, and no cafe is complete without a “snack” menu.

More of a sweet tooth person? On the edibles side, all items are priced at B350 for 10mg or B550 for 20mg. You’ve got three cookies with fun flavors like sea salt chocolate chip, Reese’s peanut butter chocolate chip, as well as a classic chocolate chip macadamia, and four types of brownies (macadamia, peanut butter, fudge, and cream cheese). If you’re sharing with friends, you can also purchase a five-piece or ten-piece bundle, or pre-order a 50-piece one.

Overall, the venue prides themselves on providing excellent service and a relaxing atmosphere for their customers. In addition to the rolling station, there is also an on-site smoking kiosk and lounge where smoking is permitted.

Four Twenty is located at 12/3 Sukhumvit 22, and is open every day from 10am to 1am. More information can be found on their Facebook page. Orders can be placed through their official Line account @fourtwenty.th, and they’re currently running a promotion for 10% off every Wednesday for selected strains.
