Gourmet hot dog fans, don't miss this party on Sunday
Ever had a hot dog with fish floss or Tonkatsu sauce?
It was pretty sad when Dan Segall's ZenDog closed at The Sail a few years ago, so we're quite excited that it's having a temporary resurrection with help from local culinary bad boy Bjorn Shen.
Sunday Bunday (Jan 31, 2pm till late) is a faux-shabby, semi-outdoor extravaganza taking place at Ann Siang Road's Thai chicken diner Bird Bird. There will be six Asian-inspired hot dogs, including the classic Shiok Dog (withi dark soya, fried shallots and Maggi chilli), the Sawadee Dawg (Thai-style, with rice vinegar slaw and fish floss) and the Hottu Doggu (Japanese-style, with tonkatsu sauce, wasabi furikake and sesame seeds).
And in case you were wondering, all weiners are beef, not pork. There will also be boozy slushies, Neh Neh Pop creamsicles and beer.
