From now until 31 Mar, you can spare some of your afternoon time (or drop the ‘work from home’ facade) to pamper yourself at this high-end Japanese hotel chain. Okura Prestige Bangkok and its rooftop alfresco bar Up & Above are launching their afternoon tea set dubbed as Tsubaki Afternoon Tea.
What is Tsubaki, you ask? Tsubaki in Japanese refers to camellia flowers, a nod to the Japanese flower viewing season Tsubaki Matsuri held annually to celebrate the change of the season. Tsubaki Afternoon Tea is available every day from 2pm-5pm.
Savory dishes include Norwegian salmon and wasabi sandos, egg mimosa charcoal buns, and wild forest mushroom vol-au-vent. Be sure to try the outrageous miso cream cheese and fit chutney tartlet.
Those with a sweet tooth can also enjoy sweet selections, including the camellia-infused chocolate praline, cranberry and white chocolate scones served with fruit preserves, and mellowing and melting cherry-packed cremeux.
The B1,150++ option (for two people) includes your choice of TWG, a refreshing artisanal Sorbet of the Day, traditional scones and other Instagram-worthy delicacies on a three-tier platter.
Wanna get a little day drunk? For B2,350++ you can also get two complimentary glasses of Sparkling Rosé while B3,500++ will provide diners with two glasses of Perrier-Jouët Champagne.
Available every day from 2pm-5pm. Up & Above, 24/F, The Okura Prestige Bangkok. Tel. 02 687 9000
