The folks behind Bo.lan have gone on a caffeine and sugar high with new coffee spot, Gastronom Café & Bakery (G/F Yunomori Onsen & Spa, A Square, Sukhumvit Soi 26, Bangkok, 02-259-6138). Their baristas will top your cappuccino (B90) with anything from Doraemon to a smiley tiger. Use it to wash down some peanut butter and caramelized banana on toast (B95) while you take in the slightly industrial décor where slate-colored walls, a concrete floor and stainless steel chairs are combined with wood accents.
