Freshen things up with these exciting new cocktails
Get out of your cocktail comfort zone with these new menus and venues
We all love classics but sometimes, a little change never hurt anyone. Start your weekend right with these new cocktail concotions and menus.
Nothing goes better with a weekend brunch than a classic cocktail. Jamie Oliver's casual Italian restaurant serves breakfast on weekends (9:30-11:30am) with traditional morning pick-me-up like mimosas, bellinis and Bloody Marys. Be sure to line the stomach with dishes like American-style pancakes with caramelized bananas and classic British fry up, The Works.
The Tras Street cocktail bar hosts a homegrown cachaca brand's launch party this week so it's only fitting that they're introducing a slew of cocktails using the artisanal cachaca brand Maracatu. Expect lots of twists on the classic Brazilian caipirinha.
Franco-Asian bar L'Aiglon launches not only a new cocktail menu, but also a juice bar (alcoholic, of course). The freshly-pressed juices rotate depending on the season and can be combined with your spirit and infused sugar syrup of choice. Meanwhile, the new cocktail menu has drinks like the Inca Empire with tequila, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, pineapple and lemongrass syrup, and a Raging Thunderbird made with Islay whisky, Becherovka, mezcal, lime juice and gula melaka.
The Atrium Lounge has a new mixologist behind the bar. 27-year old Maven Poon has already whipped up some new cocktails to sample including the Kingdom of The Isles, a gin-based martini and Night in Venezuela made with Diplomatico Reserva rum.
Inspired by Singapore's history, this hidden cocktail bar on Ann Siang has also launched a new menu. They've got bottled cocktails and a slew of new bar food dishes just in time for the festive season.
