This foodie festival is all about Macanese cuisine
Foodloft is bringing Macao’s culinary legacies to Bangkok, plus a chance to win a trip there for yourself
From Aug 1-13, Central’s dining chain Foodloft is giving Bangkokian’s a glimpse of Macanese food (dishes from the city of Macao, if you didn’t know already). Over the course of the promotion, every B800 you spend at Footloft through Aug 1-31, earns you a shot at a stay in the Galaxy Hotel for two nights and a meal at Michelin-plate-restaurant Fook Lam Moon (both worth B633,000 total).
With the help of Attapol Na Ayutthaya—Dean & Deluca’s sous-chef—you can expect to see dishes like Macanese-African chicken (a delicious culinary legacy left by the Portuguese that features a fat chicken thigh covered in a thick layer of peanuts and roasted coconut sauce) served alongside jasmine rice. Another playful dish is the Macao Pork Bun, a grilled pork shoulder stuffed inside a crispy baguette topped with caramelized onions, creamy coleslaw and some tangy pickled cucumbers. If you love sweets, try the Macao Egg Tart, a perfect pastel de nata (Portuguese egg tart), packed with a silky smooth custard filling, or the Coffee jelly Milk Tea whose coffee-jelly base is an ideal blend to wash all the food down.
Exclusive for every B800 spent from Aug 11-13 during 12pm-4pm, you will receive a tote bag with your mother’s name on it!
